Pathfinders Winter

Overview

Our Pathfinders program is for skiers 6-11 years old offered on Saturdays throughout the season. This program will expand the range of techniques, while offering creative and physical challenges to help build confidence and technique on the snow. Our skilled instructors create a supportive and fun atmosphere that builds a life-long love for cross country skiing. Our sessions are designed around age and ability, your child will learn about the different styles of skiing classics and skating, other Nordic sports ski orienteering, and biathlon while being encouraged to challenge their boundaries and enjoy the thrill of gliding on snow.

All programs will be 2 hours in length and will also include indoor activities, special guests and other fun activities that support a love of a Nordic Lifestyle. Skiers in this program will work toward skiing in the Lake Placid Loppet or in the ADK Citizen Challenge Series events.

A full program costs $100, and includes a season pass. Drop-ins are also welcome for a cost of $10.

Please note, due to non-favorable early season snow conditions, the first three sessions were cancelled. We are looking to add additional sessions to this schedule.

All programs will be held at Mt Van Hoevenberg. Dates, times, and protocols are subject to change and are weather dependent.
