Industry and Community Leaders Met at Mt Van Hoevenberg for a Panel Discussion During the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series Event

Kris Cheney-Seymour, UCI Special Event Director at the Olympic Regional Development Authority, was one of five panelists at the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series Roundtable on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, and as part of the WHOOP Mountain Biking World Series at Mt Van Hoevenberg.

This exclusive event brought together industry leaders and experts to discuss the latest trends and opportunities in the US cycling scene, focusing on the mountain biking broadcast and industry and its evolution in the last two years since WBD Sports took over as global promoter of the sport to reunite all major mountain biking formats under the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series umbrella.

The roundtable was moderated by Kate Mason, an award-winning broadcaster and presenter for TNT Sports. She leads WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series coverage and has recently returned from covering the Paris Olympic Games, a full-circle moment from being inspired by the female broadcasters of London 2012 to make this her career.

The other panelists included Scott Young, Group SVP Content, Production, and Business Operations for WBD, Chris Ball, VP of Cycling Events at WBD, Ravi Rajcoomar, VP of the Business Network at People for Bikes, and Jeremy Powers, retired professional cyclist and Global Director of Sports and Talent Marketing at WHOOP.
